He was an ancestor and proprietor of the Van Wagenen, Van Wagoner, Van Wagner, Van Wagener Families.
His family bible in Dutch, which has been survived through these past 350 years, is preserved at Old Dutch Church in Kingston, New York.
While no head stone had been located for Aert, his son had previously purchased this land and was in the process of building is home below this hill.
He would certainly have buried his father on this site.
